What is Eigo Ganbare?
Eigo Ganbare is a team-teaching resource site for Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) and Japanese Teachers of English (JTEs). Its goal is to foster collaboration between ALTs and JTEs to create engaging, communicative lessons for students across Japan.
The mission is to promote communicative English skills through a wide range of resources—including free PDF materials, as well as access to editable worksheets and interactive digital activities through a one-time payment or monthly subscription.
These resources support engaging lessons, personalized feedback, and cultural awareness.
Eigo Ganbare’s vision is to better equip ALTs for team-teaching by encouraging collaboration with JTEs, adaptability to various school settings, and the use of effective classroom strategies.

ALTinginJapan is a community platform created to support ALTs across Japan. It offers a space to connect, share team-teaching ideas and resources, and navigate both professional and daily life. The platform includes guidance on lesson planning, team-teaching strategies, cultural adaptation, and professional development.
Whether part of the JET Programme, working with a dispatch company, or hired directly, ALTs at every stage of their journey can find value in ALTinginJapan. Alumni also contribute by sharing advice and experiences, whether continuing in Japan or returning home.
